Springdale Elementary School hosted its highly anticipated annual Fall Festival on October 1st, bringing together students, families, and community members for an evening of entertainment, games, and fundraising. As one of the Parent Teacher Organization’s (PTO) largest annual events, this year’s festival saw an exceptional turnout.
Attendees enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout the event, including inflatables, carnival games, street hockey, a petting zoo, a cupcake walk, and live music provided by a DJ. Local food vendors were on site, and Trinity Baptist Church generously served complimentary hot dog meals to attending families. Attendees also had the opportunity to shop for new reading materials at the school’s Book Fair.
"The Fall Festival is special because it brings our entire Springdale community together outside the classroom," said Principal Annette Ariail. "Events like this build real relationships—giving families and staff a chance to connect naturally, laugh together, and strengthen the partnerships that support our students all year long. Our PTO does a wonderful job of planning and putting on this event to make it enjoyable for everyone!"
A highlight of the evening was the crowd-favorite "Kiss the Pig" fundraiser. Mrs. Creech earned the winning title by raising the most donations among participating teachers. Demonstrating great school spirit, she took to the stage to kiss the pig to the delight of the audience.
Proceeds raised from the festival and the "Kiss the Pig" contest directly support Springdale Elementary PTO initiatives, funding educational resources and school programs throughout the academic year.
