Lexington Two parents/guardians, grandparents, volunteers, and community organizations and residents are invited to a free community-focused training on Mentorship and Literacy Tutoring.
The event is being offered by the SC Department of Education's Office of Student and Community Engagement.
Participants will learn simple literacy tutoring strategies and leave with tools they can use in and out of schools to help others learn to read (literacy) and to guide others in a positive life direction (mentoring).
The event is on Thursday, April 16, 9 am-12 pm at the Lexington Two Innovation Center, 509 Bulldog Blvd., Cayce.
